I went in the service and did four years in the army. I then became a police officer for the city of Issaquah, and then King County police until I suffered a back injury from a car accident in 1985. I also owned a bodyshop and was a custom car painter for approx. 20 years, so when I retired from the department I was hired by a major Insurance Co and have been an adjuster for the past 15 yrs. As a hobby I make handmade custom knives which are sold as art pieces to collectors all over the world. I met Susan and we married in 1968 and are still happily married with two sons and a daughter from a previous marriage. Both my sons live in Issaquah and one is into computers and the other is a plumber. My daughter lives in Texas and has three children. Susan and I enjoy weekends on the boat cruising the sound, Lake Washington, or Lake Chelan. I plan to retire and start making knives and sell them to galleries while traveling.

Memories: I have many fond memories of going to Gee Chick's parties. Sitting for long hours at the lake and talking with Sue Bird, Nancy McFarland, and running with Ron McCray, Dave Dondero, Jim Peacock, and a lot of others who slip my mind right now. And I have especially good thoughts about my two teenage girlfriends that I went steady with Beth Paget and Annette Henriot. Boy, what we wouldn't give to go back there for just a little while!!
